Yep. Go-To makes primers now. Two, in fact.
We’ve brought our skincare smarts to the world of cosmetics—infusing skin-loving ingredients with K-Beauty makeup sorcery.
The result? Two different primers and two equally excellent finishes.
The difference? We’re so glad you asked.
Team Glow: Thirsty Faces This Way
Very Glowy Primer is your illuminating primer. Formulated with hydrating heroes (provitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid) and antioxidants (pomegranate extract), it nourishes and replenishes, while prepping the skin for makeup.
The texture: Expect a luscious, cream-like feel that glides on the skin. The breathable and barely-there formula boosts hydration without a smidgen of heaviness.
The finish: Dewy, lit-from-within radiance. Courtesy of its glow-giving, light-reflecting magic, Very Glowy Primer seriously boosts luminosity for a base that’s glowy, never greasy.
This one’s right for you if: Your skin errs dry, mature, or thirsty, and is highly susceptible to creases, lines, and dry patches. Or, if you’re a committed glow-getter who loves a radiant, juicy base.
Team Matte: 3PM Shine That Way
Very Mattifying Primers controls shine, blurs pores, and deals with uneven texture for a smooth, soft-focus base. Niacinamide tames oily, unbalanced skin while ingredients and provitamin B5 and vitamin E deliver non-heavy hydration.
The texture: Lightweight and non-sticky with a gel-like consistency. Skin is especially silky and replenished.
The finish: Shine-free and velvet-y. Oil is balanced, pores are blurred, and imperfections are smoothed. 3PM shine doesn’t stand a chance.
This one’s right for you if: Your skin tends to be oily, breakout-y, or combo, your makeup tends to slip and slide, and texture and imperfections will still crop up despite makeup. Or any matte megafan who loves a smooth, poreless base that lasts.
What’s The Same?
A much easier question to answer. Sisters (not twins), our two primers share a few key traits:
Provitamin B5:
Both a humectant and an emollient, this hydrating heavy hitter calms cranky skin barriers, soothes irritation, and smooths texture. In short: It’s exactly who you want in your corner when you're prepping your skin for makeup. Both Very Glowy Primer and Very Mattifying Primer are packed with provitamin B5 to gently but effectively hydrate your skin and ward off creasing or dry patches.
Makeup Holding Ingredients:
Both primers were formulated to grip makeup All Day—courtesy of some high-tech makeup science (called: ball-bearing effect) (a very unglamorous name for some very glamorous results). The addition of silica helps create a silky, low-friction surface to apply your makeup on for easy, even blending and a seamlessly natural finish.
K-Beauty Formulation:
We left nothing to chance with our first foray into cosmetics and opted to partner with the world leaders in skin-first makeup: Korea. Both primers have been formulated in the K-Beauty homeland, resulting in two overachieving primers were completely smitten with.
